I just started playing again, and ive found that a LOT of changes, good and bad, have happened from 2.5 and the current edition.
Since i had to remake my account and start everything over again I haven't found any information or options like the old method to display my veteran status.
Ive registered using my .mil email, and with no option i assumed it was automatic, but at the end of the match there was nothing displayed on the scorelist, like the old army star style. Am i just missing something?

Quote: We are pleased to announce that we can now apply Military icons to qualifying accounts. If you would like to have an icon added to your game account, please send a request to aacm@americasarmy.com with a subject line of "In Game Icon". Be sure to send the request from your AKO email account. Include in your email: 1. The Email Account Used Registering for AA3 2. AA3 Game Account Name Once the AKO/DKO account has been checked for authenticity you will receive an email which must be replied to before the Military icon can be authorized. PLEASE NOTE: Only those players who possess a valid AKO (.mil) email account are eligible to receive avatars. No other proof of service, including form DD-214, is acceptable. Thanks much. Is it therefore safe to assume that after you register your AKO to your account, you can change over to a civilian email again? you never used to be able to and i barely check my AKO, nothing but NGB and AMEDD spam.

Yes. AA3 vet icon is not locked to email (like back in AA2), but instead the actual AA3 players username. You will be free to swap/change email address's as you please.
Same thing is done for beta testers accounts far as I am aware.
