Basically, beta test is gone. However, there will be opt-in weekends coming soon so you can see new features.

Because there's confusion due to the nomenclature chosen.

There was the closed beta in 2013. Then it was released for the open public beta. Then there's the closed beta that isn't the 2013 closed beta, it's the invite-only beta for testing future patches. Then, when they host the testing weekends, you'll sign up for a "beta program" for the open beta.

The beta stars are for those invited players only.

I've been in all three...one more briefly then others.

I was a beta tester before the game was open to the public closed beta. why don't I have a army star next to my name in game now but others do.

Key word there is "was". It's a current status thing.

Thank you for your interest in helping us test America's Army.

We closely monitor the bug report database for potential tester candidates. If you would like to get noticed, research "What makes a good bug report" and then report a few bugs. You can find the Submit a Bug button in the bottom right section of your Soldier Profile.

The up and coming opt-in beta tests will also be an excellent opportunity to show off your bug reporting skills.

To be clear, the in-game beta icons identify members of the current beta tester team.

We look forward to reading your bug reports!

Looking forward to these opt-in beta test weekends I appreciate what you guys are trying to do/achieve. Good way to interact with the community and get way more different opinions, and Most of all the ability to catch way more bugs. Each player could find a different bug than the other. I'm willing to bet you will find way more bugs doing this opt in testing than you would without it. This will def help the full release go a lot more smoother.

multi faction beta groups.. internal, public open, public closed, closed and soon opt in beta's? all doing the same job.. but only a few getting an icon?

there was issues with this before and loads of people lost their relatively new green coloured forum names. its all very confusing.
