An older gentlemen public C4 map in a Rural setting.

To me anyone can post info and feedback on maps and how to create them.
I did watch the videos posted by BCPull
I do this for fun and when I play a game I like to play other than the stock maps.

Problem lately is that these days the average player don't want to spend to much time
or dont want to overcome probable issues so they don't play other than stock maps.
In the console days players want to be served on a plate.
I thank the Beerme crew for running UMM's.

About the layout. I just started to build and in the end it all seems to fit in the map.
The only restriction I took is to avoid to much accesable buildings.

whenever i have tried that approach, 'just start to build'.. its never been pretty, almost everytime ending up with a scrapped attempt :lol:

its why i did remakes, i literally suck at map planning :lol:

Me too thats why I don't plan. Just keep in mind what theme you want and what size you want.

Than just start. With this map I Wanted a Rural town. The game comes with excellent meshes for that.
I used my cobblestone material I used in Overload. I only gave them a summerlook. The angled street was added to avoid the often seen rightangled street pattern. And like all fps shooter maps I added a churchtower for the sniper. In the center a small square and a mansion with a surrounding wall for cover.

For one of the objectives I made a joke. You have to destroy the Cvernian alcoholic drink stack.

heres a little feedback after testing offline :)

in the upper barn its possible to climb up onto the trapdoor (over the stairs) and then get between the wooden crates allowing (what i assume to be unwanted) access to the back of the barn where the tarp is.. also in the same upper area but on the normal side, you can use a spool to climb onto a crate which allows climbing on to the roof joists, which also allows mission impossible tight rope walking along the joists access to that same back part. i can take a screenshot if you need one to better explain, let me know.

other than them little things.. it looks great, nice and clean with plenty of routes and cover, the trees are perfect as to not be able to hide inside them and i hope to see it on a server and play it online :mrgreen:
