Are you using full or basic editor, 64 or 32bit? Please post a screenshot of your world info/map info.

Ive tried both the advanced and the mission editor both in 64bit. Its giving me that "Publish failed due to failed copy".

Im wondering if its a running out of video or virtual memory problem because ive cooked another map before but this map has alot more meshes involved.

Edit: just found that error in my clipboard and mentions the virtual memory as i suspected.


Edit2: I have adjusted my virtual memory allocation on my pc

But the editor becomes extremely unstable and crashes when i try load the map.

Thats the thing. My pc is

i5 3.2 quad
16gb ram
240gb ssd

its just my gfx card that broke recently so I had to downgrade to a 8800gt.
But even then ive managed to build the lighting which I thought would be more intensive than cooking


Its in c:// drive under my games unpublished etc

That error is most likely file is wrong location or your world info is set incorrectly.

I don't think that has anything to do with it, but your fire teams need to be set. check out my role set-up tutorial on how to do that. Also do you have a pylon actor in your map?

I put in some path pylons and rebuilt the paths but still no luck. I also added the fire team info. Its still giving me the run out of virtual memory in the cooking window then the Publish failed due to failed copy" error after i close it.

Are you sure you're not using the 32bit editor? because that a 32bit error, Ran out of virtual memory.

How big is your file size?
