I just finished and publish my latest work but for some reason I'm getting 4 different file sizes depending on what I'm doing.
Map in editor = 76mb Map published to steam = 44mb downloaded map = 45mb Uploading map to server = 46mb
Could anyone explain what's going on? I've made sure I updated all of the world info with a different map name to avoid conflicts with previous versions.

The 44, 45, 46 Mbs are almost the same, maybe some metadata causing it (or the preview picture)? No idea... Did you cook your map? I don't know what it actually does, but I heard it reduces the file size noticeably. Maybe that is responsible for the 76->45 Mbs?

Are you publishing a new version over an old version, or uploading the new version as a new map altogether?

Word of advice!!!! Never cook your map unless you exceed the workshop upload file size. Once you cook your map you'll need to recook with every major patch. Anytime they have to mess with frontend and have to recompile the game you'll need to recook it. However, if you don't , you won't need to do anything to it. Of course unless the remove assets from the beta that are know longer available to use.
