This is a wonderful and very helpful tutorial ... I have a problem and a question.
When I use stock assets to build a structure, after vertex painting and rebuilding lighting, there is always a visible "seam" where the two wall static meshes meet ... I can't get a smooth multi-static mesh wall ...
Say I build wall, window, wall, door, wall in a connected series ... I can always see the lines between each static mesh.
Is there a way to "smooth" those assets together?

Hello BigRed..
there are 2 ways of doing this..
1A,Simply paint both assets uniformly"try paint them so it blends seamlessly together'
1B. After painting one wall.

2B. Duplicate it.."Alt+drag"

But you can see it is not b;ending seamlessly..
3B. Now lets transform the asset.
Right click on your duplicated piece and in the options list select Transform -Mirror Y axis
