Thanks for your reply. I printed out those instructions and followed them ... 4 different times ... exactly how they are written ... after Steam Validate ... before Steam Validate ... after smearing myself with chicken blood ... editors still stall and crash at "Processing Objects Referenced by AA:Game”

Time to delete and reinstall?

Its a pretty common crash, not exclusive to this game, its mostly down to corrupt files on the client pc/OS.

If that dont give you a hint, try "Exception code: 0000001 kernelbase.dll" in google to find something more suitable.

Thanks for your reply

This was an issue when I had Win 8.1 installed ... I had everything wiped and Win 7 re-installed ... didn't think it would happen again ... fyi, this only occurs during AA:PG ... every other game / program runs fine ... it's another mystery issue with our game

Note: There are specific UMM's that crash AA:PG when the Team Select screen "pops" ... guessing this "kernelbase.dll" is the cause or related problem to that issue issue ...

3 reasons why the game crashes with UMM's. And both have nothing to do with the game it self. It's user error..

1. If the map was cooked with older version, and not updated for current version.
2. People trying to copy stuff from other map, other umm, or trying to import things incorrectly and saving their map.
3. Map not set up with all necessary actors.

*Problem resolved* With the help of a good Beer_Me friend the problem has been fixed. My Unpublished folder had become full of saved sounds, assets, too many UMM's, many duplicate files ... basically it was loaded down with garbage. The Editor was trying to load all of that garbage and couldn't ... no wonder. I moved everything under Mygames/....AAPG to the basic C:\ drive. I then ran the AA:PG program and it repopulated the folder with the original content only. That was the fix.

I spent about 14 hours going through the C:\ garbage sorting/deleting until everything was sorted and *no duplicate files of anything* existed. I then moved back one folder at a time (i.e. Maps) and checked the editor by opening it ... nothing caused a crash so my garbage is now carefully sorted and on my C:\ drive ... I import directly into the specific map any asset that I want to use from my C:\ drive master folders ... the editor would take about 1 minute 20 seconds to load a map for editing ... now it takes 4 seconds

Recommend keeping your personal files completely separate and physically outside any AA folders ...
