base and default files are useless to check as they are not used by the game directly, they are just the base for the user files(AA*.ini).

As for the rest of the checks, if they actually provide an advantage, i suggest you submit them in a bug report and have the dev's close down the exploit.



All checks utterly useless.

Of course useless. But this is logic by random people without any basic knowledge. They does not know anything about any of blocked options.

Its all about excuses,the more some people have the better they feel.And since 99% of them also fight for it the extremist way there is no sense to discuss or to get upset.Avoid and go on.

This is our settings we play with default ini files if you don't like it then join another server that allows it.

You better play the game the way the Devs shipped it, or else! (Just so long as you don't use the M24, that part can get taken out)

i fail to see the amusement in anyone wanting to provide a fair as possible experience for all players, while playing on their own server?

You can't see the inconsistency in his policies?


Not to mention that he doesn't understand what his checks are doing, evidenced by how many of them serve no purpose, yet is advising others.

You guys should know me by now, I usually stay out of things and don't say much.....unless I'm joking with someone or talking Ueditor.


But I agree with this 100%. Look guys, it's simple...if you don't like what someone is doing with a server they pay for Don't play there! No need for comments like.... this is useless and thats a joke...on and on. Just let it go.


I also agree on the educating/knowledge side of this. At the end of the day it's their server and they pay for it, but they should know what they put on it. Because sometimes it hurts a server more than it helps it.

1. You don't know what you're doing.
- There's no point in checking Default* or Base* files.
- How is disabling static decals a fairness thing?
- What effect do you think a client's NetServerMaxTickrate value has?
2. Bad checks like yours potentially lead to unfounded kicks for players that don't deserve them. That shows up on ACI checks and leads to badmins interpreting that as evidence that a player is somehow "dirty".
3. You're spreading misinformation.
4. You're creating the impression that these checks are in some way necessary for fairness, an idea that is very far removed from reality.


Those are my fundamental problems with your misleading post on CVARs.

Regarding the disconnect between your views on client settings and M24 use, well, I just find that an amusing hypocrisy.
