The paranoia in the game community is a bigger problem than the tweaks.

If a subscriber of enhancement programs tells you its "just ini tweaks" some actually believes that and goes totally off the chart in an effort to stop something that isn't there.

No unreasonable advantage. Just like it's not unreasonable to have an advantage if you spend $2000 on a computer while someone else is playing on a calculator. Simple stuff here man...

The unreal engine is pretty unforgiving on older hardware and the beta menu is missing some settings if the dev team expects 75% of steam users to play this game on reasonably even footing.

Let me be clear....I UNDID the audio stuff that I had...

And soon we won't be using Xaudio or Alaudio...we'll be using Wwise...can't wait.

define "advantage".
The tweak i apply is to smoothen the frame time wile letting my video card actually go beyond idle.
Stock settings loads my video card with 300-500MB vram, and 30% cpu load @ 90 fps, while frame time can at time spike as high as 50ms from the normal 11ms.
The tweaks load it with close to 2GB vram and 70-90% cpu load @ 90 fps while keeping the frame time closer to 11ms with spikes barley reaching 30ms.

The result is a better experience and less annoyance.

Add to that most kids are playing games on laptops their parents bought them not gaming systems. I've been seeing this more and more. Kids opt for a gaming console rather than a desktop nowadays.

Thread is about Ambient noise level and that being an "annoyance" and that it should be lower...
