You have to remember that not all of those are Army issued. Many are for other branches (which this game doesn't depict).

..but in old AA2 we had Special Forces Missions....could be a type of mission to allocate in ME allowing the use of other weapons (tipically SMG) ...

I'm fine with additional weapons. Even if the are less effective, let the player make the decision. It's often fun to mix it up.

I don't know what AA2 used to be, as I started playing America's Army only in the PG beta version. Even though a few of you say it's not gonna be much realistic, I see a lot (A LOT) of people supporting the idea. I saw that Wikipedia page when I was making my suggestions - based on that I planned the classes and the additional weaponry suggestion. Even if the launchers of AA:PG find those specific weapons not fit, more weapons/classes should be added. By any means, this is a game, and the players are players - and we want to have a variety of weapons and the privilege to choose for ourselves what weapon to fight with.

RPG was really nicely implemented in the game, it was used by indigenous forces (IF) that supported US special forces (SF). It was quite real in terms of having a deadly blast from behind the tube, that could kill if some one was standing behind or even injure or kill the soldier, that was firing if too close to the wall. Also there was a safety mechanism in place that preventing the grenade from exploding if it didn't had enough distance to fly, in other words if you would hit a wall in few meters in front of you, the grenade would not explode.

The only unrealistic thing were the speed of the propelled grenade and the fact that it should explode even if not detonated after 4-6 seconds of being fired. But this was done for the sake of game play.

Things from real life are working fine in games if they are done with consideration of game play experience. Now if an RPG or any other weaponry of such type would be introduced to the game you would probably be able to shoot it on the move, what will definitely ruin the game.

As long as the implementation done correctly and thoughtful I don't mind seeing MP5 in game, but as I wish for the game play to slow down a bit, I would be against this "Class" that would be even faster and shooting everything that moves.

It's fine as is. Like has been said 1000 times before let AA2 go. Stop trying to make the game even more of an advantage to defense, campers, door watchers. You keep trying to imagine the game play with maps that are from another game.
