To expand on BCPull's match stats, IF that were possible, specifically within a Tournament mode menu, I think it would be pretty amazing. Included with a demo, the server also puts together an html file with full statistics for the match once it ends. So you have a full demo to view AND a statistical breakdown. That is MY vision for a competitive experience. A robust tournament mode that allows for any league rules to be implemented prior to the match and as much media/data as possible easily delivered after.

A comparison of stats of how we did in a current match from previous match or time like was suggested few posts up. More detailed version of how we are doing currently in game. Like what we have now at the bottom of the board telling us how many spot assists, revive etc but more information. I would also like to see stats on which teams win/lose the most for the whole game it self or just individual servers. Has Bravo or Alpha won the most matches? Most people won't care much for that one specifically but I think it would be cool.

stats per map (yes i know there is some... but too many stats are not tracked/not working)

The best thing, in my opinion, is to allow us an XML feed of all the stats tracked. In addition to that the players profile link should be changed to a player number instead of their name, this way the player can change their name to as many times a day as you limit and not have to change all their links.

With that being said, you wouldn't have to add an option for the player to make their stats public or private because without some serious digging no one is really going to know the players number except the player.

But we always get told about the Dev teams limited resources by yourself and others so why spend the time and money developing an api for someone else to list statistics that should be on the official site anyway. If the official site listed all the information people are requesting in the first place then would there be a need for a 3rd party stats site that lists everyone and has everyone already registered?

The easiest way to do this is make the official stats more like the old battle tracker systems that everyone is reminiscing over.

The database is already there, a simple script or two to output the data in xml .json form is it. Then add the additions to the server query that 12ampage was talking about. This is much easier done, than redesigning their own site imo. :roll:

Yes, even if their site showed all the information, there would still be a want/need for the data on 3rd party sites. Or else you are still going to have people parsing the AA site html pages. (which is frowned upon)

Its not always that easy as you have to consider the load it might put on the servers if you have multiple trackers requesting data for the player base.

Just pimp out the official leaderboards.
