The following fixes PB problems but it will also fix other issues.

In your Steam Library, right-click Americas Army 3, left-click "properties", select "Local Files" tab, click on "verify integrity of game cache" and let it do it's thing and download the pb files. When it completes, launch AA3 FROM YOUR STEAM LIBRARY by double clicking. It will begin install of PB like you 1st installed it.


I did uninstall Avira and diabled the Firewall. Did all above and manged to play only once until it kicked me again :(

By the way: your soundcard drivers are really out of date. Almost 4 years! (7/14/2009 02:51:47). You may update them :D

I too have this same issue on a recurring basis. It happens, then I go and validate AA3 files, it always says 5 files failed to be validated, then I relaunch the game, it reloads C++ and Punkbuster, I play for 1-3 days then it happens again. Very annoying, and still can't find a permanent fix.
