Is AA3 dead? No.
Are we going to be doing additional development for it? Unlikely
Are Auth Server being shut down? There are no current plans that I am aware of to do this.

There was a significant pause between x2 and badabing though. We shut down AA2 auth because we moved away from our existing provider for both AA2 and AA3 to Steam.

I have only two questions:

1-There is no upgrade path for future AA3?
2-Is there any provision for disable AA3?

Is AA3 dead ? Yes
Are we going to be doing additional development for it? Unlikely = Even more "dead"

It's like keeping dying man alive with Life support. If AA3 could say or write one word, it will be "euthanasia".

Aa3 still has a number of players who are loyal to it.

If they can keep a few servers online it would be good.

But servers do cost money and eventually the cost benefit of keeping a server alive becomes.. Well the costs will outweigh the benefits at some point.

I personally hope they keep a couple of servers open forever!

But i am also learning (slowly) how not to suck too much at aa:pg, in preparation for that inevitable day...!

I have told you what I can, anything you read unless it is posted by a Dev will be pure speculation.
