Brought to you by -=11thAD=- clan

Tip #1: Duck and Cover
When you get shot at, Duck! don't panic and run.
Once you get the chance, find out direction of the shots, get up and run for cover that will protect you.

Tip #2: Footsteps
Did you know you can hear footsteps?

Tip #3: Grenadesshoo
Grenades can be very obvious when you hear "FRAG ZOON!"
- listen for enemy nade calls, if you hear them, best chances are to run away to a location where the enemy cannot throw the nade
- If in a building, you will be able to hear the drop of any grenades (smoke, flash, frag). When you hear I, locate it quickly and run away.

Tip #4: Shooting
Many people struggle with getting good shots
- Aim for the neck, takes practice to quickly aim at the neck or higher chest
- You can shoot through doors, so I you know an enemy as there, just spray the door
- pre-fire will help you in a one on one situation. If you see an enemy, that runs into you, shoot as soon as you can. First shot in this situation usually wins

AA3 is not that bad. Myself i do not agree with what is being done with it. AA3 had so much potential. AA3 deserve a respectful end.

i agree! AA3 could have been sooo much more.. you think they can/will throw it to the community to play around with when next version comes along? man that would be good!

or wishful thinking?

Better tips from the commander of the team that beat the 11th Airborne on several occasions:

I would say about (2) of those tips are decent. They are also obvious though.

I wont go into too much detail but:

Loadout: Varies depending on the map, mission, and the amount of players playing. Also depends on your roll. To become more versatile, agile, and fast, a light loadout maybe your choice. Exercise caution as your mag count is now limited.

Dont move away from your opponent especially when you have engaged him.... I dont know why the 11th thinks moving further back is ideal. But in the military you are trained to engage the closer enemy first (immediate threat). Same concept here, close the gap. By all means change your location, but dont make it harder on yourself by creating distance.

Aim for the neck!? HUH! You dont want to aim for a small area on a target. The larger the area, the more likely you will hit your target. Standard procedures advise for you to aim center mass. As you progress as a player, you may aim for more lethal, unprotected areas such as the head or thighs. Thighs are significant targets as they hold the femoral arteries in them. Great place to hit for bleeding out. Head shots... Well, head shots...

Always attempt to gain the higher ground on your opponent. Whether this be the windows in Alley, or the hills in Ranch. Always exercise caution with grenades, but the higher ground creates an advantage for you. Change up your locations constantly. I have killed more enemies on tendencies alone. Utilize your BFT (or map on your left) for locating friendlies. When a friendly goes down, 90% of the time the enemy was in that vicinity.

The most important tip I can advise is to trust and train with veterans. Sometimes its just easier to watch rather than read. Train and compete with a growing team @ http://www.86thmountain.us
