Yeah, download it and try it. I've played 2.3, 2.5, 2.8.1, 2.8.3, 2.8.5, 3, 3.0.3, 3.2 and 3.3 and 3x is the better version.

Purely personal preference and not stated FACT ....lol

I played back from the original America's Army. When 2.0 came out I remember wishing it would go back to 1.8 or whatever. But it got fixed and the version 2's were ended up being very good.

AA3 on the other hand is worth it if you want to just waste some time. It's not very good. More maps are gone than are actually in the game.

I just got it today, and played for a bit. It just looks like it's gone backwards. Way backwards. I mean...the wheel doesn't even turn on Pipeline when you get the objective anymore? No more squeaky noises either?

Actually on that note, anyone know where I can get AA2 and play that? Do people still play it?

AA3 >> AA2

Gameplay >> Gameplay
Lag (it suks) = Lag (hit latency, we used to call in AA2)
Players << Players

Marketing << Marketing
Wars << Wars
Now make your own decision, try the game out yourself.

Ask the 23 people that play AA3 if it's great.

The THOUSANDS of players from AA2 will wait until the next version is released.

Honestly, I don't like AA3 and I don't like Steam. Logging into the game and switching between servers is either a lenghty process or complicated. And then, AA2 was a so much better with sound and visual effects. I totally miss AA2.

Thousand? I remember before AA3 to get released no more than hundred players were playing AA2. Many clans stopped to exist and many servers closed.
People still have AA2 why no one goes to play it?? What do you want cookies to do it?
Give me the most [TOS Violation] game, put it for a month in first page of steam, and you will see thousand of m0r0ns playing it in the next days. People play games that are in first pages, trust me. AA3 never been one of this games. Army didn't spend to much for this game and its marketing.

Doesn't change the fact that aa3 game is terrible. Great games do not have to cost a lot of money.
