The GTX 960 2GB SuperSC should do me fine with the i7 since I already know what a GTX 750ti SC can do with my old AMD X2.

At least you have room for a upgrade or two befor the rest of the pc is outdated :D

It is a good deal but you can't use any online retailer as an example. The newer version of this SSD cost around 150 for this size. For whatever reason online retailers seem to think that supply/demand justify such an outrageous price. Only a complete idiot would pay that much for an older drive.

Agree (somewhat). I'm not getting an SSD right now anyway. You really need 500GB for your OS. Anything less than that is a waste. newegg has a 960GB on sale but still not worth over $200 for. I'll stick with my 1TB SATAs for now... they're free.

250GB works just fine.. love my Samsung.. works awesome, enough space for 2 OS if you chose to double boot like I did (not anymore) holds all 3 of my games that I play.. perfect size

Put your videos and data on the HDDs you already own and your OS and frequent-use apps on an SSD. You'll see very nice gains in system responsiveness, startup time, etc. 256GB is more than enough for that kind of setup.

Thanks All.

Here's what I finally ended up with. My budget was $925USD and I came in at $911.86 (sort of fitting in a way):

CPU: Intel i7-4790k quad-core 4.0GHz
MB: Asus Maximus Hero VII
MEM: Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600 CL9 (2x4GB) 8GB
GPU: EVGA GTX960 DDR5 2GB SuperSC
Cooler: Coolmaster Hyper 212 EVO
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 700w
Case: Thermaltake Versa H22 Plus (includes 4 120mm fans (2 at top))
xtra: Kingwin 120mm fan with blue LED

The hardest decision was the case but after getting my hands on the Versa at Micro Center and being able to take it apart, seeing the fan layout and easy of removing fan filters and HDD's it was a no-brainer. I will move the front fan to one of the optional side mounts and put the LED in front for a little bling!

The conclusion is that I did heavy research and got many opinions including yours. When opinions matched then I went with them. Now I should be able to see Demon's head at the end of the map and run the other way.

next time use this to upload and link pictures http://imgur.com/ instead of making me download something i'm not sure i want to download.I'm amazed how inside your budget you ended up with the parts as they are far from bad, some of them are really good like the cpu and mobo some are mid range like the cpu cooler, psu and gpu.Don't hesitate to grab an SSD ASAP,you really won't regret it,and it will make you feel the difference and make use of your high end parts.

Thanks. I couldn't remember the site for pics. Believe me, I am looking forward to an SSD (or several) but the wife says I have to wait for now. Maybe for Father's Day??
