Hello,

When AA first came out I was pretty much right there in the beginning. As an extreme Linux user, all I can say from personal experience compared to Windows, is that AA ran better for me in Linux.

Every game that has both a Windows & Linux version, I have personally had a better gaming experience in Linux.

Given the rise of Steam now for Linux, and how a lot of developers are jumping on the Linux bandwangon, is it really best to abandon Linux all together, or maybe rethink this over once again and bring AA back to Linux?

As a Computer Geek I certainly know there are Pros & Cons to both systems, so it really depends on what your needs are, so use what works for you. For me Linux works and has been my system of choice for over a decade.

Thank God I know the world of Linux very well and how to use it, because as a Geek I would never want to rely on Windows being online with all the hacks, exploits, and malware you can run in to. It takes constant vigilance in Windows to keep a system safe and clean, and I'm talking about how the average user is clueless to most of this. To be honest, to be really safe in Windows it takes quite a number of years of experience, and then staying on top of the latest advances in the technology too.

Anyhow, Linux should of never been dropped, because the vision of the gaming world has been seen by Valve and many gaming developers around the world. Linux is being embraced!

Linux - best for developers. Does not have much in 3rd party software support though.
Apple - best for graphics / CAD for companies.
Microsoft - best for total number of supported games and apps for home-use.
Android - best to get rich making people play with candy all day.

BTW: I wish I had all the candy Tom Selleck got over his years.

io_i_oi, funny statistics, LOL...

I've used Linux 15 years, and there's a heck of a lot of 3rd party support in various apps...

You are aware that even Valve has made Steam for Linux? Sure Windows is still the gaming platform of choice, I won't deny that, but it's going to grow for Linux.

Have you ever used Linux for any length of time?

For the games I've played in LInux, I personally found them to run better, especially more stable over Windows gaming...
