i would love to give some proper feedback on them too.. i have been waiting for weeks to see a comp server with players on it, i used to sit in the EU one for a while but they almost never got any takers. the only map i got to test with others was crazystacks for about 30 mins, it was great fun!

realistically you can only take so much from exploring them alone, how a map plays with others, against people.. is key to knowing if its a good map or just a bunch of pretty assets merged together. i understand the devs play them internally (from podcast videos and a nice PM i had), so im pretty confident they will have a good idea which of the maps that have been in the comp are good for online play.

i hope before the comp ends and the winner is announced i can at least get to try all these maps with others. we should set a date and time or something for everyone who is interested to jump on a server and give these maps some playtime, that frankly they deserve.

I'm not sure what it is, i've never been able to load night infiltration on a server. I'm able to load it offline, but right now I just get a connection lost if I try to join the Official US Comp server.

yeah its tricky getting them to load.. part of the reason i think they are not so popular?

anyways, all i do is when you get the connection lost error, dont close the client, open the console and type reconnect

the map should load pretty much instantly after doing that. thats what works for me anyway.

I sat there for 15 minutes trying to load industry. I got to spawn and then the game crashed. UMM's need more stability, that's a huge part of the reason why so few servers play them.

I updated Night Infiltration few days ago...probably file on server is not updated...anyway first time loading UMMs is often long, and n.i. is a map with file of big dimension. Be sure to us mag lens and than load it offline a bit.

Actually, this was happening to me too last night, but I thought it was a local problem. Maybe not -- kernelbase.dll crash for you too?

I'm having the same issue. For the first time I can't load a UMM.
